Luxitex 124 is a specially designed product for the construction industry. It is a waterproofing compound that is to be used along with cement.

Luxitex 124is a complex co-polymer. The film formed by it has good stretchablity.

The mixture of cement and Luxitex 124 on drying forms a complex matrix.

Being in the form of thin liquid, it can easily enter in to the cracks and then on polymerization and setting can seal the entry for the water.

Luxitex 124 being alkaline is compatible with cement and can be easily mixed with pre- wetted cement to form the co-matrix.

The matrix so formed by Luxitex 124 and cement shows excellent resistance to the water permeability but at the same time it does not become totallywater repellant. (This is because it is a non-silicon, non-acrylic compound). Due to this special feature, the surface coated with Luxitex 124 do not show the property of rejecting further coating of colour or any other construction work on this surface.

The layer of this co matrix is less permeable to water and air. This reduces the carbonation process of the structure.

The coat of Luxitex 124 is not totally water repellents, and hence can be easily used as base coat before cement paints. This helps to increase the coverage of cement paint, thus helping in reduction of coast.

Even if used as a self-coat it shows excellent resistance to the water permeability. It can be mixed with any cement-based paint to increase the water resistance of the paint.
