This product is designed to aid in the cleaning of Disperse-Reactive prints on blends of polyester. It removes non-fixed Disperse or Reactive dyes from the blend. This product is often used to wash Reactive dyed blends with weave patterns. The fabric with a weaving pattern with squares or straps with floating viscose floats is dyed in reactive colors—polyester floating in alternative straps and is supposed to remain white in Reactive dyeing. In the end, some reactive dyes tint polyester significantly and then resist washing off and become white. Luxitex 229 is a wash of this dyeing, resulting in clear, uncolored polyester.
